I'v error during install SAPGUI for java 700r1 on MS Vista Ultimate build 6000 (final relise) -

com.sap.platin.micro.MicroLoaderException:

Translation error:

Can't close transaction

Transaction error:

C:\Java_Gui\SAPGI for Java 7.00rev1\bin\localstart.ini (System can't find this path)

How can I resolve this error?

Hello,

SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 1 does not support Vista. We are aware of problems both with installation and at runtime we are working on.

Any updates on SAPGUI Java working under vista? At the momemt there is no viable option as the SAPGUI 7.10 is not available until February.

Hello,

there are quite some issues regarding incompatible changes in Vista we have to address, in particular regarding running as an applet. So please do not expect SAP GUI for Java to support Vista in short term.

As info, I've been running SAPGUI 6.40 OK under MS Vista RTM fine. No major stress testing, mostly accesssing standard ERP functionality without any visible problems.

with SAPGUI 6.40 you mean SAP GUI for Windows or Java?

SAPGUI for Windows.

I installed as administrator and have UAC disabled.

.... and the windows firewall has been configured to accept outbound connections from SAPGUI program.

This is build 6000 of Vista Enterprise.
