What is the difference between Business System and Business Service?

Please tell me what is the difference between Business System and Business Service...? In real time at what situation we will use Business System and in what situations we will use Business Service..? Please help me

Hi,

Business service is an abstract addressable unit, i.e., without system information.

Business system is an addressable unit. It points to a technical system with all system details.

In real time, if the system lanscape of communication partner is known, then a businness system will be created in SLD.

Business service is used when landscape of communication partner is unknown.

Ok if u unknow the partner Business System we will use Business Service..... Is this Business Service is again used by the Partner's Business System or Not...? Can any one explain how this entire process will work in real time with an example? (Creating Business System, or Business Service,CC,Reciever Detrmination,interface Determination,Sender Agreement and Reciever Agreement)...

Business system:

If you want to address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.

A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system (service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software component versions of the business system.

You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.

Business Service:

If you want to address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.

Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.

You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.

For example, you can define RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) as business services.

A business service represents an abstract unit for addressing the senders and receivers of messages. You can use a business service to group interfaces.

To address a business system from the SLD as the sender or receiver of messages in logical routing, you must define it as a service (of type Business System) in the Integration Directory

Hi,

Business systems need to be configured in SLD.

They can represent a swim lane in Integration scenario in IR.

Business service are abstract. They dont need a entry in SLD.

In real world scenarios Business System is used.

Business system usually comes into play in case of A2A scenarios. It has all the details configured in SLD.

Business service is an abstract object. It is usually used in case of B2B scenarios. It will not have any entry in the SLD.
