Dear All
How to update SAP Table (Any single or multiple tables) through Java code using JCO. Can any body provide sample code regarding this...
Thanks&Regards
mgreddy
Hi,
I think for that anyway you will have to use JCO as the middleware to connect to SAP R/3.
So what you can to do is to write three RFCs and call them through JCO from your JAVA application.
1. First BAPI for reading the dictionary information about an SAP table.
2. Second to read data from the table.
3. And, third to write data to that table.
But if you want to edit any table (and not a specific table) then your program will become even more complex since then you will have to pass the table name and information dynamically to the BAPIs.
Best regards,
Guru.

hi,
in SAP its not recommended to add the data to SAP standard tables directly. One should always use transactions or BAPI or FM to do this. Similar is the case, when you need to update the data in SAP through java. You can update the data in your SAP server by calling some BAPI or RFC through JCO. Pass the necessary arguments to the BAPI or RFC and call execute this through JCO.
check out the example codes in JCO Documentation. Example5 can be used as sample example.

Richa.

Before realize from ABAP a custom RFC or BAPI that do THIS (better if you found some standard FM, RFC or BAPI).
And after from JCO call your standard or custom RFC, BAPI.
From external can access to R3 system only via RFC, BAPI.

Read manuals at help.sap.com. There is lots of samples there.
