Content Server 6.4 on SLES 9

Hi!

I have installed the SAP Content Server 6.4 with a SAP DB instance (MaxDB 7.6.0) on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (32bit-Version). I've also installed Apache Web Server 2.0.49 via yast.

When i am trying to access the server through csadmin in the Knowledge Warehouse, i get the following error message:

Error in HTTP-Access: IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RECEIVE 1

ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED

The Content Server's database is online and the Apache is running, but when i prompt the command

apache2ctl fullstatus (or apache2ctl status, respectively)

it says:

-

Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 404

localhost

-

When i test the server with a browser by using

http://<host>:<port>/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo

i get the error message "The page cannot be displayed".

The linux-version is 2.6.5-7.244-smp

SuSE-version is SLES 9 (i586), Patchlevel 3

I am pretty new to Linux and Apache and since i am totally lost, i really do appreciate any kind of help!

Thanks a lot!

best regards, TW

Check if the "DocumentRoot" points to the correct directory and if this directory contains a /contentserver subdirectory.

Hi!

I have installed the SAP Content Server 6.4 successfully with Apache Web Server 1.3.xx and SAP DB instance (MaxDB 7.6.) on Solaris.

I can access the Apache URL but not the SAP Content Server.

They was no ContentServer directory exist under the apache/htdocs.

Can anyone help me where I did the wrong? but installation was successful.

Hi,

Set the parameters as shown below:-

The path for the same is /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/<SID>_<Instance>_<hostname> file:

1. There are three port parameters in instance profile:

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP, PORT=50026, TIMEOUT=900

icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS, PORT=1443, TIMEOUT=900

icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP, PORT=25026, TIMEOUT=900

Bye
