Therefore, does IDoc come to XI only? And is there one communication channel?

in R3 you can create these to sent idoc data from XI to R3.
SM59 - R3 connection pointing to XI
WE21 - define the port with the above dest.
WE20 - Partner profile type outbound (to sent Idoc from R3 to XI)
And is there one communication channel?
>>> to receive IDocs into XI you dont need a adapter, but to sent IDoc from XI to R3 u can use the receiver IDoc adapter.
Help me anybody ...

1. Creating RFC Destination by "Enterprise" ? (by my XI)
>>>
create a destination of type R3 in the tcode SM59 of your XI server. in this destination give the detials of your R3 system you want to connect to.
2. Creating a Port by "SAPENT" ? (by my XI)
>>>>
in tcode idx1 of XI, create a port and refer the above destination you created here.
3. Receiving System by "HTTPSO" (by my XI)
>>>>

in case you need to sent Idocs from R3 to XI, you need to do some basic settings as follows;
In XI
SM59 - R3 connection pointing to R3
IDX1 - define the port with the above dest.
In R3
SM59 - R3 connection pointing to XI
WE21 - define the port with the above dest.
WE20 - Partner profile type outbound (to sent Idoc from R3 to XI)
Hi Anvar,
In addition Anuradha's points, few configurations settings are need to be done for IDoc scenario like creating ports and partner profiles.

Hi Anvar,
Idoc adapter does not need a sender communication channel and sender agreement as it resides on abap stack.
RFC adapter needs sender communication channel and sender agreement,
in RFC sender communication chaneel,u need the specify the program id which is assigned for the report which triggers the RFC in R/3.
Regards,
Anuradha.
