TMKSVR Installation

Hi All from Australia!!

We are trying to install TMKSVR, but during the installation we are getting errors.

Here is the log in the dos window:

So it is failing whilst extracting the file, we also getting a popup telling us there was an error while extracting the savefile on the iseries host indicating an error with the RSTOBJ command.

I checked the savefile on the iseries in the directory and it is there but empty.

The savefile on the local windows system is there, it seems not to ftp it to the iseries yet there are no ftp errors.

Any ideas, I know I have missed something simple !

Hi Alex,

It may be related to the ftp attribute. Please check it by running CHGFTPA. The setting must be: Initial name format=LIB and Initial directory=CURLIB. If not please do 'CHGFTPA NAMEFMT(LIB) CURDIR(CURLIB)' and change it back when TMKSVR is installed.

Gday All again,

Thank you for all your help.

I knew it would be something simple as I tested and tried everything and Agoes was correct. We had the FTP attribute, File Naming format, set to PATH, as soon as I changed it to Library/file.member it worked.

i still have no luck with the TMKSVR installation...

make me a headache...

still got error "couldnt sendmessage TMKSVR..."

please anyone help mee....

I recently ran the TMKSVR Installation without issue using cd51033511.

Make sure are not using a sidofr or sidadm id because they don't have the proper authority.

You also might want to wrklib tmksvr* and delete all tmksvr libs found

Hi Alex

1. Patch TMKSVR with the latest ISERPACK

2. Check your host/domain name if valid

3. Check your userid if allowed to use the RSTOBJ cmd

G'day Alex,

that sounds a bit weared ...

Did you check for TMKSVR libs on iSeries ? Please delete all of them.

Did you update the master CD with the ISERPACK ?

Is the IP & hostname running properly ?

did you try to put a SAVF from a PC to the iSeries yourself via ftp ? Perhaps you are running IFS (normally qsys.lib is default) by default - perhaps this is not built in in the SETUP.EXE ...

Hi Alex,

as far as I can remember I have already seen something like this but I think it was already fixed some time ago. So, please try to apply the latest matching ISERPACK (check SAP note 707805 and/or the iSeries specific installation note for your product) and see if the problem still persists.
