On clicking the status, I am getting the following message

?Where to locate the BSG in R/3 and assign before transferring matl to APO

i require the steps&help to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance to all members for the help.

Dear Srikant ,

Pls check you have followed the below steps in the same sequence for R3 and APO

CIF Settings in R/3

Check ALE settings or activate ALE settings

•Define the logical system BD54

•Assign logical system to a client SCC4

Set the RFC destination SM59

Assign target system and queue type CFC1

Maintain the SAP APO release NDV2

Activate BTEs for SAP APO integration BF11

User parameters for CIF CFC2

CIF Settings in APO

Check ALE settings or activate ALE settings

• Define the logical system BD54

• Assign logical system to a client SCC4

Set the RFC destination SM59

Set up business system group

–Create BSG /SAPAPO/C1

–Assign logical systems to BSG /SAPAPO/C2

Maintain distribution definitions /SAPAPO/CP1

User parameters for CIF /SAPAPO/C4

You have got stuck up somewhere in R3 setting , which I have marked in italic font i.e.Assign target system and queue type CFC1

I hope this will solve your problem .

Thanks ,

Hi Srikanth,

Check in your APO system under SPRO >> Integration with SAP Components >> Basic Settings for System Landscape >> Assign Logical System and Queue Type

Transaction is /SAPAPO/C2

Suggest you go through the following documentation for details. The link is for SCM 4.1 but other versions of SCM will be having similar settings.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

somnath

Hi somnath

I tried the transaction code /SAPAPO/c2 on APO customizing side

Example

Business Group -BSG I, Log System - APOCLNT800, R/3 Flag - X

Queue type- Outbound

still on R/3 side, on transfer i am getting status as ->SYSFAIL.?

Ok Srikanth,

I guess you need to work with your BASIS consultant to check if the CIF is set up correctly. This is because the SYSFAIL error really is not a functional (integration model or master data) issue.

On R/3 side check the following in SPRO

1. Name Logical systems: Both your R/3 and APO logical systems are maintained

2. Assign Logical system to Client: Correct logical system (the R/3 one) is defined to approriate R/3 client no.

3. Specifiy SCM Release: Here for the APO logical system - appropriate SCM Release should be maintained

4. Set Target System, Operation Mode and Queue Type: Here your APO logical system should be maintained. The Operation mode should be - Transactional Events Active, and suitable queue type maintained (Inbound or outbound)

Of course you have the APO RFC destination maintained in SM59.

On the APO side SPRO:

Follow settings 1 & 2. For 2 the APO logical system has to be defined for the APO client no.

3. Maintain Business System Group - You have maintained appropriate BSG

4. Assign Logical System and Queue Type: Here against the appropriate BSG - assign the corresponding R/3 logical system (basically the source system) with R/3 flag and

Release.

Business Group -BSG I, Log System - APOCLNT800, R/3 Flag - X Queue type- Outbound

I believe the APOCLNT800 is your APO logical system. The BSG should be assigned to the R/3 logical system.

Please check the above. Only if all these settings are correct you can attempt transfer of master and transaction data between APO and R/3 using CIF.

Thanks,

somnath
