Connection failed from SAP logon pad in NW2004s ABAP trial version

Hi,

I have installed NW2004s ABAP trial version and SAP GUI available with the same. I'm encountering problem while trying to logon using SAP logon pad. It says :-

partner not reached (host 127.0.0.1 , service sapdp00)

WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Offcourse, I have installed LoopBack adapter and my application server NSP is running.

Have you made the appropriate entry in the hosts file?

Thanks to all of you for your support !

I was able to connect to logon using SAP GUI. Actually, I was supposed to give System number 02 instead of 00 because I have NW2004s installed for Java as well. And, I had also disabled my network connection thru loopback adaptor. So, I enabled that as well.

After that I was able to logon

HI Vicky,

What did you enter in the Gui Logon Pad.Have a look.it should be like this

Description = anytthing

Application Server = pc name or ip Address of server(ip of loop back adapter)

System id = NSP

System number = 00

Sap System = R/3

Yes Subash, That's what exactly I have entered...infact, I have tried many combinations of application server ( like ip of loopback adapter, ip of localhost, localhost, machine name)
