Dear community.
Out of security reasons we have got to change the password of the communicationuser sapcpic.
Does anybody knows for what this user is to use and if it is an problem if I change the password.
Which functions could be affected?
I hope for some answers.
Many thanks in advance.
Michael

Hello Michael
You can have a look at SAP note 29276.
In older releases (< 4.0) you could either lock SAPCPIC or change its password (in SU01) without corresponding changes of the hardcoded password (in the listed reports). Or you could also modify the password in the coding to avoid those functional defects.
Since 4.0 you don't need to perform any modifications, the password of user SAPCPIC can be changed without any problem. User SAPCPIC can even be locked or even deleted.

Désiré
