How to supress the tags in XI

HI Everyone,

i have two questions for you.

1) i have a traget field of type integer and its a non mandatory field, can i send empty fields for this elements. iam getting a response from target webservice saying that it is not valid value.

2) How can i supress the tags if they are empty.

If the node is not mandatory(min occurance is 0) then the node will nt be formed if it does not contain any value..
