Does the HTML view works with in the layer?

I have a form view in which i have a submit button.On clicking the submit button i am able to open a url in the HTML view.

Now i want to keep them in layers so that on clicking the submit button i will be able to see only the the HTML view. now on click i am able to traverse to the second layer but nothing appears in the HTML view.

What should i do to get it rectified. I want a new url to open in the same page.

put the form in one layer, the html view in second layer. tnasition between them should be triggered from submit event. Also, use 'submit' event on the data mapping between the form and the htmlview.

Thanks for your immediate reply.

I had done exactly what u have said. I have used the same submit event between the layers also. When i trigger the submit event i traverse to the second layer but nothing appears in the HTMLview.

But when i remove the layers, it works fine.

This was a problem in earlier support packages but works in SPS9 (VC patch 9.1). What support package are you on?

I was using SPS7. so thats why it was not working.
