What all are system requirements for RFID scenarios?

Hi All,

I am new to RFID.

I just want to know if in any industry I want to use RFID,then what all are system requirements?

Do we need to install AII component separately or it is offerred in WAS 7.0?

Please elaborate on this.

Hi Shweta,

The basic system requirements are :

AII System which has to be installed seperately

Readers which are available from vendors like Philips, Zebra, Intermec

Printers which are available from the same vendors

Device Controller which is available from either these vendors or could be developed

These are the basic requirements. Depending on different scenarios some more systems could be added to the system landscape.

You would need an XI System which would act as a bridge between AII system and backend system which could be R3 or some other system. This would help you in automating the entire process.
