I've installed EP 7.0 (WAS Java), and I've configured SLD. My ECC can't connect with RFC connection to the EP. The reason is that gwrd is not running and the port 33xx is not listen the request from SAP ECC. Why it ins't running the gwrd process ?

Finally I've to installed a Standalone system --> Gateway with sapinst, because if you have a Portal (Java) I think it's necessary.
Now the SLD is receive the information of my ECC system.

I've read this help before, but the question is if in a WAS Java this process "gwrd" should be started automaticatlly ?
What operating system are you running?
We use windows 2003 server and we set this seperate executable to start up type of this "service" to automatic.
Have you checked the services file to make the ports are mapped for this?
