executing transactions after an alert

Hi:

I have read a lot of blogs about CCMS and alert inbox, right now I have configured my alert inbox, but, can I execute transactions once the alert is raised?

I wanna reprocess, or push the queues, or execute a report when the alert comes.

Is this possible?

thanks

Hi,

there are different ways to trigger the alert as specified in the link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d0/5e073c8e56f658e10000000a114084/content.htm

But I don't you use an alert trigger to start any activity??

Hi,

This blog lists the available reports to reporcess messages in XI automatically.

/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/29/xi-how-to-re-process-failed-xi-messages-automatically

Also, there is a report RSALERTDISP , that allows you to read / display an Alert.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/af/34193cb4f5131de10000000a11405a/content.htm

Now, what you can do is write and schedule a custom report that will use the report RSALERTDISP to read the alerts and if there is an alert triggered restart the message use reports shown in Naveen's Blog.

I wish i were an ABAP'er to be able to actually write such an utility.
