Hi,

I have installed SAPNW 2004s JavaSP9 trial version. I am facing some configuration setting problems in J2EE Visual administrator. I have set the SLD Provider in Visual admin but unable to set JCO RFC Provider. I am getting error “ Error changing bundle’s properties, see LOG for details!”. But the log file is empty. I have made the following setting for JCO RFC Provider:

Program ID: XXXX

Gatewayhost: localhost

Gateway service: sapgw00s (gateway service has changed for 2004s version)

Server count: 3

Application server host: SAPR3M1 (R/3 machine name)

System number 00

Client 200

Language en

User sapuser

Password xxxxx

When I click on "Set" button the above error message is displayed.

Please help me resolve this issue.

Regards,

Nitin

Have you been able to setup the connections in SM59?

Did you log on as J2EE_ADMIN?

Also check that the sapgw00 is set up in the Services file (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc)

No i have not setup the connection in sm59.

Yes i have logged in aa J2ee Admin, and tried to setup the JCO RFC Provider which i was not able to do so.

Yes i have checked services file in folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and found 2 entries

sapgw00 3300/tcp

sapgw00s 4800/tcp

i am still not able to configure JCO RFC Provider in J2EE Visula Administrator.

I found this in a SAP Note. Not sure of the relevance!

If you connect to an already existing (central) SLD, you have to create this RFC destination on the J2EE Engine, where your central SLD is running, and not on your local J2EE Engine.

Hi Nitin,

In Gatewayhost tryto put the value as SAPR3M1(R/3 machine name)

and Gateway service as sapgw00 and then do the check.

Also check the SAP Tutor at:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/nw/s-u/setting%20u...

Also I hope data supplier bridge is working properly.

Please award points for useful information.

Regards.
