Create report variant in VA05

Hi All,

I want to create a new report variant in VA05 report output , can someone tell me on how to create a new one.

Parameter SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN

X Enables Default Setting check box

A Enables Default Setting Check box and User Specific check box.

U only user-specific variants can be maintained

User Specific: Only the user who created the Variant can see and use it.

Not selecting User Specific: All users can see and select the variant.

Selecting Default Setting: Will make this the default Variant. If Default can be stored user-specifically, they take priority over user-independent ones.

Not selecting Default Setting: Will not set this as the default Variant

Check in your user parameters:

a) Menu -> 'System -> User profile -> Own data'

b) Change to the 'Parameters' screen

c) Maintain the following entry,

Parameter: SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN Value: A

d) Save your new settings.

This will allow you to create and maintain variants in VA05

Your answer is correct but it only allow me save a variant for my user.

You know how can I do for share this variant with the rest of the users?

I solved this problem, it was that i had put in the paramaters a U in the value instead of a A.

Copy the program SAPMV75A. Create a Z-program, after modification. Create a Z-transaction (SE93), attach this Z-program.

HI,

Execute VA05 for your selection criteria.

Once you are inside the report, goto -> Settings -> Display Variants -> Current ( Alternatively type CTRL+F8).

In the popup screen, decide on your New layout's column fields, sort criteria, filter options etc. and then, finally save this layout with a new name. You can also decide whether this is user-specific and should be your default layout for your user ID.

This is how you can create a new report variant!

There are 3 standard layout variants 0SAP, 1SAP & 3SAP. See if they can do. Settings -> Layout -> Choose.
