SAPCAR: checksum error in disp+work.exe (error 12)

Hi All,

While extracting a SAR file using SAPCAR i am getting following error

SAPCAR: checksum error in disp+work.exe (error 12)

Please could anyone let me know the cause of such error.

Does SAPCAR -<b>tvf</b> XXXXX.SAR give the same error?

Redownload the SAR file and try again.

incase you are using ftp to transfer the file, make sure the file transfer is in binary mode.

What is the exact path to the file you are attemping to extract?

If you download the complete SAR file again and confirm using the latest SAPCAR version according to note #212876 (The new archiving tool SAPCAR), is the error the same?

Hi Mark,

I am getting this error while Installing the BW 3.5 on Windows 2003 server. This error occurs during Extracting SAP Kernel archives. (SAPEXE.SAR).

So i tried to manually extract SAPEXE.SAR file. While doing this i am getting same error.

Please advice.
