Alerting Communication failures

Hi XI'ians

I want to alert some users when there is a communication failure either in sender or in receiver channel. I refered some of the post but was not helpful. Can you pls explains the steps involved in altering when there is a CC failuer.

Do i need to setup CCMS for this? What is the need of CCMS?

Hi,

No you do not neet CCMS.

CCMS is used for the monitoring of your Components.

Say you want to be initmated automatically when the Adapter Engine goes down or the Java Stack goes down etc.

To handle Adapter Engine errors due to communication channels, you can use XI's Alert Framework.

This is possible from Sp14 onwrds.Refer note : 870232 for more info.

Hi,

from SP14 onwards you can setup alerts for Adapter failure . You can notify the user thru email.

hi,

you can use alerts that will send a message to your inbox

when the message will reach a channel with an error

as far as I remember it works from SP14 upwards
