Freight costs in SRM

Former Member

Hi,

We are implementing Extended Classic Scenario. We would like to capture

the Base price and Freight cost separately. In SAP ECC system we would

like to capture the freight cost separately.

If I look at the help documentatation, it is mentioned that

"In the extended classic scenario only the net price is transferred to

the ERP backend system. Pricing does not occur in the ERP backend

system."

Then how can we capture the base price and Freight cost separetely in FI.

Regards

Mani

Hi Mani,

I will propose you to store the freight cost in a customer field in SRM PO.

You then have to transfer this CUF to ECC where at PO creation you generate a condition type to modify the total PO price but not the based price item.

You will have to modify the price schema calculation in ECC.

Kind regards,

Yann

Hi Yann,

Thanks for your feedback. Whether we have functionality like storing the various component of the price to the different price conditions and transfer the same to ECC . My requirment is to captuire the Air freight and Land feight cost separetly and to transfer the same to ECC and catpure in separate GL codes.

I feel , If I strat using the customer field , then controls and validations will be the problem .

Hi,

Customer fields are for SRM only.

If you active invoicing in ECC, it will be standard due to price conditions configuration.

Kind regards,

Please comfirm whether my undestading is correct.

I can create own condition types in SRM to capture the freight components . I need a development to transfer the value of theses price condtionso of SRM to the price conditons of the ECC.

Hi,

Not really...

You create customer field in SRM to store the freight cost.

You trnasfer the customer field to ECC where you convert the SRM customer field (no ECC customer field created so far !) into price condition in your PO.

Hi,

No.

You just create one customer field in SRM where you store the freight cost.

You then transfer this SRM customer field to ECC PO price condition.

Kind regards,

Yann
