Errormessage by creation of SC

Hi guys,

we are implementing mySAP ERP 2005 as a testsystem. Now we want to connect our mySAP SRM 4.0 with the new backendsystem. Our controlling area in the new backendsystem is a copy of controlling area "GKR". Our problem at the moment is, that we can not create any SCs because we get the following error message:

"Create account XXXX for DD.MM.YYYY as a cost element in controlling area". Perhaps anybody has an idea.

Hi Yann,

thanks for your answer. In our old backendsystem we had not any entry in this view (OKB9) and it worked. Is an entry in this transaction really necessary? Perhaps you can explain me for what it is because I am not a financial or controlling specialist. Perhaps there are any other solutions for my problem?

Hi Bernd,

I was wrong...

Are you using the same account as in the other client ?

If so table T030 should be identical (valuation class and account link)

You have to go to KA01 to create the cost element (to create the G/L account as a cost element in CO).

Hi Yann,

no I do not use the same account as in the old client. But i had already created a cost element with KA01. Now I have made an entry in OKB9 and the error disappeared. But I dont know for what this entry is for. But many thanks for your help.
