Hi..
we have installed PI7.0 and everything works fine .But i have got a doubt according to config doc of XI.With XI 3.0 installation and post installation, we need to create
three Sm59 connection in post installation step
1.AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
2.AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
3.INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI
Also LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI.
My question is that whether the first three is necessary for PI7.0??..becoz it is not mentioned in post installation step for PI 7.0 whereas it is there for XI 3.0
but LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI has been mentioned.
Moreover when i do a cache refresh in SXI_CACHE..it doesnot thro any error but the same i tired in the URL :http://host:port/CPAcache/refreshmode=full, it doesnot show anything..what is it mean???? how will check the cache refresh....
I do checked in visual administration, SAP XI CPACache in server..but URl is different like http://localhost:5000/. and so on..
How do i relate this?? please reply to clear this concept
Thanks
Gopal
Hi Gopal,
The path for a full cache request is correct. When you click on it, your browser page would open up and on the top corner, it would mention 'cach refresh mode = "full" .. somethin like that.

To refresh the Cache the below URL need to check
<b> http://<hostname>:<J2EE portnumber>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full.</b>
I saw some of the documents in PI7.0 all the post-installation step will configure using Template based-Configuration ...please find the help using below URL

Hi,
1.AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
This is used to allow the Inegration Server connect to the Integration Directory.
2.AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
This connection is used by the Integration Server to connect to the mapping runtime of the J2EE engine.
3.INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI
This is used for the refreshing of the cache.
Like pointed out , check if these have already been created and if not run the template or create them manually.

Bhavesh

Hi Gopal,
In XI7.0 you dont have to manually do all the post installation steps. There is a template avaliable which you have to run.
It automatically creates all the RFC destinations and does all the post installation steps.

Hi,
<i>1.AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
2.AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
3.INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI</i>
1.AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER not required. It's given in one of the notes. don't remember it the number though
For cache check: go to Runtime Workbench> compoenent MonitoringDisplay All
you will see a button here saying Cache Connectivity test. you can run this to test the Cache refresh.

Hi people...
I know the why is these SM59 connection is required..i have tried this in X3.0
My question is ..as vijayakumari said..you dont need any of these three SM59 connections individually in particular for PI7.0..because right now i checked in the RWB>component monitoring> cache connectinity test..
it works fine....i really doubt ,,,,whether for sure i need this connections for PI 7.0???
thats my question????????? i am little bit confused..moreover, in ABAP engine SM59..i do not have any of these connections right now but everthing works fine..
Anybody has done it in PI 7.0..pls
and where is that template ?? is there any link or document???
thanks
Gopal
