Modifying SAP Contents

Hi,

There are some standard SAP XI Contents in the Integration Repository. Since the namespace is http://sap.com, we are not allowed to modify any of the settings (e.g. message mapping)?

Is there a way to change the srttings?

Hi,

Double Click on your Software Component--> there will be options ->

Objects are original Objects

objects are modifiable.

Select them and activate your SWCV and then you can make changes.

But, why do you want to make some change to the standard SWCV? Instead copy whichever object you are looking to modify into a new namespace / SWCV and then make the changes.

So I have to define a new software component and product in Software Catalog and copy the mappings in Integration Repository?

Exactly. This way you are not disturbing predfefined content.

Hi,

Yes you can modify it by going to SWCV and check the checkbox Objects Modifiable. But this is not advisable to do... better you copy the mapping and change it and use the same.
