login/password_downwards_compatibility

Hi,

We upgraded to ECC6 where passwords are case sensitive.

The problem is for all users which were already in the system before the upgrade, the passwords remain backward compatible. But for new users created after the upgarde, their passwords are case sensitive.

I tried changing this parameter "login/password_downwards_compatibility"

from 1 to 5, but still the new users have the same problem.

How can I make the paswords for the new users also like old reease, ie not case sensitive?

Hi Cyrus,

In Theory login/password_downwards_compatibility with value 5 will create fully downwards compatibility.

I don't think theres a parameter to disable sap login been case sensiive.
