Web DynPro and J2EE engine

Hello,

I am trying to understand how Web Dynpro application runs within the J2EE engine. Can some one tell me if a Web Dynpro application uses files like web.xml or context.xml? I am unable to find these files in any of the demo Web Dynpro applications such as DynamicUI. Thanks for you help.

If you are looking to run the application on J2ee. First configure the j2ee engine in your developer studio by going to Windows > Preferences > SAP J2ee engine and configure message server host and port (usually 3601). Then go to webdynpro perspective of your NWDS, expand the project > webdynpro > application right click on your application and select the option, deploy the archive and run. If you were asking something else, please clarify more
