Demo examples work fine, cannot connect to Integration Builder

Symptom:

<b>Demo examples work fine</b>

i.e. http://fullservername:8000/sap(bD1lbiZjPTEwNQ==)/bc/bsp/sap/sxidemo_agcy_ui/main.htm

retrieves data correctly

<b>SAP GUI connects fine</b>

<b>Start Integration Builder fails</b>

i.e. http://fullservername:50000/rep/start/index.jsp

returns "The page cannot be displayed" message

Troubleshooting:

checked logs under :

D:\usr\sap\NXI\SCS01\work

D:\usr\sap\NXI\SCS01\log

D:\usr\sap\NXI\DVEBMGS00\log

D:\usr\sap\NXI\DVEBMGS00\work

D:\usr\sap\NXI\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\admin\log\console_logs

SAPMMC reports the following:

Syslog:

<b>SAP Basis System: Communication error, CPIC return code 002, SAP return code 679

SAP Basis System: Operating system call recv failed (error no. 10054)</b>

SQLServer reports no errors

netstat -a reports all ports listening except for port 50000

I am experiencing exactly the same issue has you have described. Did you ever solve it?
