Hello!
Adobe and SAP cooperate and the result is the Adobe Document Service that can be accessed in SAP Netweaver Java und ABAP stack. Its´ main purpose is to genereate pdf-Form-Files from form-templates and xml-Data and to extract xml-Data from filled pdf-Forms. Have I understood it correctly?
But Adobe also offers an Adobe Server Solution by its own, that also has this template and data merge solution.
What is the difference between the Solution in SAP Netweaver and the solution in Adobe Server?
Thank you.
Jörg
Hi Jörg
the Adobe document services in SAP are essentially a subset of Adobe's own document services and comprise functions from a variety of the Adobe LiveCycle server family (mainly Reader Extensions Server, Forms Server, Security Server). What's available in SAP, you can see by reading the JavaDocs (link on the forms homepage here in SDN) or the ABAP class CL_FP_PDF_OBJECT.
There is no list wth a comparison of the products.
Best regards,
Markus Meisl
