End to End Monitoring Error - ASTAT_READ_ERROR

Hi All,

We have SAP XI3.0 SP16 installed on AIX5.3 OS. Oracle 9.2 is used as database.

My Kernel version is 109.

I have configured End to End monitoring and all the links are working fine. But the problem that I don't see any data in the End to End monitoring page.

All the jobs are running for the same. I found the error in TCODE - SPIP.

I am getting this error in there.

ASTAT_READ_ERROR.

I found one note on SAP marketplace for the same- 761079.

This note says it is a kernel problem and provides a workaround. But this workaround

is at the ABAP level.

I have implented the note, but of no use.

I have one similar XI system with kernel level 43. End to End monitoring is working fine in that system.

I do not want to bring the kernel level down.

Does anyone knows what is the solution for this??

Any kind of input will be helpful

Thanks

I had the same problem on my PI 7 system. I resolved it by changing the instance parameter stat/as_level = 1 (turn application statistics on) on the systems getting the warning/error. Is it possible that is what you did as well? Hope this helps anybody else who might have this issue.

As I said the configuration is done. and the note 768456 is valid, if the URL is giving errors.

Here thr URL is working fine. No issues on that part.

I would welcome some more thoughts on the same.

Thanks

Hi,

The error seems to be from R/3 side,

Mean time try to re-start the java stack and check the End to end montoring.

Hi Agasthuri,

I guess from R/3 you mean ABAP stack and not the actual R/3.

And the restart of the Java stack won't help.

The problem is not the communication between Java and ABAP.

Point is that the data is not getting collected for some reason.

even then for the sake of try, i ahve done it for no use.:-(

Thanks
