Hello,

we try to install NW04 SR1 on W2k3 Server / Orackle 10g but the installation terminate at the step 7 of 34: Prepare Oracle Server Donfiguration

ERROR 2006-11-13 18:47:51

CJS-00030 Assertion failed: OraInitOraInstaller.run: Parameter dbHome has to be a nonempty string

Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 patch is installed.

Does anybody know how to solve this issue?

Hi Andre,

Have you set up your oracle environment parameters on the OS?

It is looking for the ORACLE_HOME parameter does not exist.

It should be something like;

ORACLE_HOME = <DRIVE>:<PATH>

Yes,

ORACLE_HOME is set and some other Parameters also.

But in regedit i can find a key called "dbHome".

Does someone know where to set it?

Did you change this after you started the install? If so restart the install.

Also do you have any other Oracle instances installed on this machine? This can cause problems if other parameters are read in from the Path environment etc..

Did you install Oracle before starting the SR1 installation? If this is the case you might like to start the install again this time let the sapinst handle the Oracle install.

I did restart the Inst. and let SAPInst handle the installation of the database. Same error at step 7
