Hi,
We have several nw2004s systems on IA64 and x86 (both 2003 on Oracle10g) and applied support stack 9 on them.
The basis support pack SAPKB70009 took about 1.5 to 2 hours to apply.
On one x86 system however the R3trans process runs more than 15 hours without
finishing the SAPKB70009 import. Every 10 -30 minutes the import log file is updated so R3trans is still running.
Our oracle db version is consistent between the the systems as well as the R3trans (latest version).Oracle trace files do not report an error and I am running out of ideas what to check next execpt opening an OSS message.
Thanks for any ideas.
Michael
We had similar issues for oracle 10g and nw04s on HPUX PARISK systems. We have installed latest oracle 10 client and it resolved issues for database interface issues.
hope this helps;
thanks,

I finally got a solution. The indexes on D010INC were corrupt and that caused the
high runtime.
