STANDARD TRANSACTION MMBE IS USING A VIEW MDRS WHICH FURTHER
IS USING DATABASE TABLE RESB , SUDDENLY THIS TRANSACTION IS TAKING ALOT OF TIME. WE HAVE SQL SERVER 2000 .WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM ?

We have sometimes the similar problems and I execute the following in the Enterprise Manager: exec sp_recompile MDRS

Have you analyzed the STAD data to determine if the response time is spent in ABAP or in the DB?
Use that to point you to the area to tune
