Problem referencing PAR file from webdynpro local project

Former Member

I am trying to reference a par file (named 'com.abc.utils') from my local Webdynpro project 'TabledEditor'.

I tried the folowing sharing reference for the same :"PORTAL:com.abc.utils" , "PORTAL:sap.com/com.abc.utils".

Notthing worked for me. I get an exception while deployment asking "Is the component correctly deployed on the engine?" What is the correct way to add a sharing reference for a Portal Application Archive??

Thanks.

Hi Vamshi,

1st, the PORTAL:<vendor name>\<PAR file> should include the vendor name specified in your portalapp.xml, not necessarily sap.com. If you dont put one, put one in the portalapp.xml and then change the sharing reference.

2nd, sometimes once you deploy with a bad sharingreference, you cants simply redeploy your WD app. You should undeploy and try to deploy again.

Hope this helps.
