RFC Error during CI installation

Hi,

We are installing WebAS 640 (Unicode) on ISeries. During the final stages of the CI installation and at the phase Starting RFC Jobs, we are getting the error :: ERROR 2006-11-09 23:31:48

FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection.

ERROR 2006-11-09 23:31:49

FRF-00063 RFC logon failed with message: Failed: Connect to SAP gateway failedConnect_PM GWHOST=SAPR3001, GWSERV=sapgw27, ASHOST=SAPR3001, SYSNR=27

We noticed that the SAP was down. StartSAP is also giving error and system is down.

Has any one else also come across this errror and what is the rectification for it.

Hi Sachin,

for these steps the SAP-System must be started. Please check the sapstart.log in /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS27/work. Might be the system won't come up because the igs could not be started. Then just comment out the corresponding entris in the startprofile /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile.

After this start the system and continue the CI-Installation.
