Get parameters for rfc sender communication channel

Hello everybody,

does anybody know how to establish the values for the cc-parameters?

For example:

Where do I receive information about:

- the Application Server (Gateway) = Gateway host name of the sender system

- the Application Server Service (Gateway)

- the Program ID

etc.

Hi,

Application Server Service is "sapgw<sysnr>"

Programm id you can choose what you want.

Hi Robin,

I can't see the <sysnr> in

System --> Status.

Maybe I'm blind?

Could you please give some more details?

Hi,

On your log on pad , for the required system go to change mode and you will get the system number detail there.

Thats true..

the Systemnr you can get for example from you saplogon.

Or your when you look at your port when you on the browser.

http://host:5<sysnr>000/rep/start/index.jsp

the system nr is as well a part of that.

Hi,

Take a look at this blog,

/people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2008/01/08/troubleshooting--rfc-and-soap-scenarios-updated-on-20042009

In your r3, SMGW>GoTo>Parameters -->Display and you will find the values in the list displayed

Hi Michal

first: Congratulations for the 10000!!

Yes I did have a look in your weblog.

My problem is, that I want to understand how the systems involved communicate with each other by using these special parameters (in CC and rfc destination)

I read the online-documentation n-times, but I get no conclusion out of it,

Hi,

When you activate the commuication channel this one will find over the sap gateway and hostname the R/3 system.

Over the Programm ID the communication channel will find the right sm59 destination and send the XI connection data.

Now this rfc destination will route you to the XI System.

Thats all.

Robin
