Hi,
I am currently using the Function module RFC_SYSTEM_INFO to check if the connection to XI is active, Is there are any other means to determine like a different FM or form routine?
Thanks,
Vijay
Hi,
To check out this from R/3 , go to Transaction SXMB_ADM check is this configured as Application System and the given http destination(SM59 entry) is pointing to XI.
Also you can check XI Readiness check with SAP Note-817920
Also did you do all the steps mentioned in the XI configuration guide.

Moorthy

Vijay,
The RFC "RFC_SYSTEM_INFO", basically brings the information by executing the function module. By which u can only say that RFC destination of type R/3 connection is working fine. This can be also achieved by creating an RFC destination of type 3.
In SM59 (of XI server)just do "Connection Test" and "Remote Log on", and then you can say that connection is active.
It basically depends on what u want to do. If u r working on proxies there are some things that should be done.
Any questions...post.
-Naveen.
