Sheduling transports to run automatically after a request is released...

Dear All,

I have a requirement to shedule transports to be done automatically.

That is, whenever the abapers or functional guys releases a request in development, it should get automatically transported to Quality system.

Please explain in steps.

Hi Sailesh,

This is very easy.

Go to STMS and click the truck icon.

Go to the sytem you want (QA).

In the QA queue, click the import all truck, not the single import one.

Then schedule the import all to run at whatever intervals you want it to run.

Done.

Hi,

Check the note 398589.

You can also run a job that executes program TMS_BCI_START_SERVICE. This job scans the transport requests' output directory (in DEV /usr/sap/trans) every 10 minutes and picks up those transports that have been released in DEV.

Another option is using the Revelation RevTrac (3rd party transport tool) or Q-TMS by Symmetry Corporation.
