Yes you can set up the end to end monitoring for your 4.5B system in PI RWB tool... Make sure you have the logical system name mentioned in the 4.5b Business System in SLD.
In order for the remote monitor feature to work in Tr: IDX5 of your XI system, make sure the SM59 connection for the R3 system is working and the user can log on remotely also.
When i clicked on the monitor button it gives me the following error
<b>Error for the remote call of method RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM in system TESTDEV, message Function module "RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM" not</b>
<b>TESTDEV</b> in the above error is our 4.5 B system. As far as configuration is concerned it is working fine and there is no doubt about it.
I tried to seach for the function module <b>RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM </b> in 4.5B system and I could not find it. But I could find it in ECC 6.0 for which the remote monitor function in IDX5 works fine.
When I tried to search for <b>RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM </b> in SMP, it gave me the note 327861.
We are on support package - SAPKH45B59 for 4.5B system
Looks like the note is related to App System 4.5B ver. I am not sure if this will resolve it or not. The correction for your release is in Note# 210543.
I would suggest to get help from SAP support on this release.
The System i tested was a 4.6 C release and it works fine. I dont have any 4.5b system to test it...
