Hi Sapients,
We have a high prioirty issue after Go live regarding the load balancing of HTTPs requests. We are calling web services using the Integarated ITS through EP. After upgrade to ECC 6.0, the SAPGUI logon requests are load balanced, but the HTTPS requests from the portal are not load balanced but going to CI only. Load is not getting distributed to the application servers.
Our system landscape is:
Production system running in Aix 5.2 oracle 10G ECC 6.0.
We have two servers for the production system:
1. one named 'PACIFIC' in which the CI, DB and the Message server is running
2. Another one named 'AMAZON' in which the DI / Application server is running.
From the portal we are calling the message server 'Pacific' which is a HTTPS connnection.
What we found is that the HTTPS requests are going to the Pacific server only which is the CI/DB and it does not goes to DI or Apps.
We want to use the load balancing technique using the message server as per the note 649008. However we are facing problems with the POrts.
a. Can you explain us the concepts of the Message server load balancing?
b. Steps to follow to configure the Load balancing using message server?
c. Any disadvantages of the load balancing using message server compared to SAP Web dispatcher.
Looking forward for your advice and we will definitely award points.
Thanks in advance
Sundar
