Hi all,
I'm about to perform an installation of a Content Server (Standalone Engine) on our Server which is a Windows 2003 SP1 64Bit server with 4Gb RAM.
Now I've downloaded the Installation Master discs (+ needed Presentation components) for a regular 32Bit processor & for a 64Bit processor.
When I launch the 32Bit version I'm able to start the installation of a Content Server but when I'm launching the 64Bit version no Content Server is in the list.
Does this mean that the installation of the Content Server MUST be done on a 32Bit system (and will not work on a 64Bit system?) or is it ok for me to go ahead and install the 32Bit version on a 64Bit processor server?
Thank you for clearing this out for me when possible.
I hope this is the right section in the forum, if not please indicate so that I can correct.
Best regards,
Tom Cockaert.
Found it myself by contacting SAP.
Content Server 64bit is not available (yet).
Installation 32bit on 64bit works (I tested it) but is not supported by SAP.
Best regards,
Tom.

Hi Peter,
Here you have the content of the label.asc files for 32Bit & 64Bit as mentioned:
(downloaded these from NW2004s -> Oracle -> Windows Server)
For "51031797_11 BS2005 SR1 Installation Master Windows Server on IA32 32bit"
the label.asc is:
SAP:ROOT-LABEL-BS2006-Nw2004s_Sr1:700-1:IM-CD:*:AIX_PPC64 LINUX_I386 HPUX_IA64 OS390_32 OS400_PPC64 LINUX_S390X_64 LINUX_IA64 LINUX_PPC64 HPUX_PARISC SOLARIS_SPARC SOLARIS_X86_64 WINDOWS_I386 LINUX_X86_64 WINDOWS_X86_64 WINDOWS_IA64:D51031797
For: 51031797_13 BS2005 SR1 Installation Master Windows Server on x64 64bit
the label.asc is:
SAP:ROOT-LABEL-BS2006-Nw2004s_Sr1:700-1:IM-CD:*:AIX_PPC64 LINUX_I386 HPUX_IA64 OS390_32 OS400_PPC64 LINUX_S390X_64 LINUX_IA64 LINUX_PPC64 HPUX_PARISC SOLARIS_SPARC SOLARIS_X86_64 WINDOWS_I386 LINUX_X86_64 WINDOWS_X86_64 WINDOWS_IA64:D51031797
The database vendor/package will be the DB included in the SAP download (Presentation Server part) which is SAPDB/MAXDB.
I hope these are the answers you requested, if not please let me know.
Thank you in advance for trying to help me.
Best regards,
Tom Cockaert.
