hi,
we have schduled few background jobs , when we go to ST06 we can 92%CPU tilization.
Why this is utilizing more , and how to rectify this problem.

Not knowing what your background jobs are processing, my suggestion would be to create more variants, with a smaller number of criteria in each and create multiple steps in your background job.
For example variant 1 criteria 1 - 99, variant 2 100 - 199, variant 3 200 - 299. Then in the background job Step 1 = variant 1, step 2 = variant 2 etc.
Doing this will lower your CPU utilization and most probably the whole background job will finish quicker than having 1 variant with all of the criteria in one variant.

where is the problem? If you start some activity on the system this may need some resources.
which processes did consume the most CPU - how many of the did you have -
