Hi
We are using SAP standard workflows. I have set SO36 automatic forwarding for users.
I have one user where if the approver rejects a cart,an email is sent and recieved by the user, it can be seen in sost, but there is no entry to users inbox as a message.
Other user, gets an email, but no entry to sost and item does show in inbox as message ???
What have I missed ?
Thanks
Kay

Not sure if it's still happening for you but make sure the user has the value 'X' for the attribute FORWARD_WI (Flag: Forward Work Item) in the org structure.
This will then ensure that the message is sent to him via email.

Dear Kay,
unfortunately, it is not possible to use the mail system group and
an automatic forwarding at the same time. If you have activated
the mail system group in SO16 and a user has set his standard communi-
cation type to 'E-mail' the additional automatic forwarding (set via
SO12 or SO36) is ignored.
If the mail system group is used, no copy will be kept in the inbox
folder.
The mail system group is used to collect all messages from various
systems into one central mail system. So, the user does not take care
about e-mails placed on all systems. Therefore, no copy is kept in
the system, if the mail system group is active.
If you want to keep a copy in the system and forward the message to
an additional address, you have to deactivate the mail system group
and use the automatic forwarding instead.
Everything fine so far?
Best regards, Daniel

Hi David
Thankyou for your reply. I understand the settings, via SO16 and the note, however at our last upgrade, we set all users once via SO36.
This transaction has a tick box of "also place in inbox". Does this not actaully place in the inbox ?

Kay
