Dear MDM Gurus,
What is the use of the relationships table.
What is a scenario for using it ?
Thanks.
Hari
Hi Hari,
One possible use would be to track products that have been replaced. If product '123' is no longer available and customers should order product '456' instead. You can use a sibling relationship to link the two products. When a customer views product '123' in your catalog, you will be able to tell him/her that '456' is the replacement.
Another possible use would be to track kit components. The kit would be a product, and each component would be a product.
Hope this helps.

Hi Hari,
The relationship can be defined in the console and each record can be assigned to the relation ship. You can have the Parent/Child or sibbling relationship.
It is basically one more way of classifiyng the data.
Check the console reference Guide for more detailed explanation.

Arul
