Hi,
i've got a very specific question: I'm currently using a VMWare (virtual machine) that runs my WAS6.40SP9 WAS and I'm developing in NWDS locally on the VMWare-Host.
The deployment of a WD-project aborts with an error message something like "XmlFactory, string, null" (sorry I haven't got the detailed error message at the moment).
With other WAS6.40SP9 intsllations, there's no problem. I've edited the hosts-file and the connection to the VMWare is successful (I'm prompted to enter the sdm-password).
does anyone has got a clue? is it vmware-specific?

I can only tell you that we are working with several VMs and do not have a problem. I guess it's not related to VMware

hi,
it's a bit strange. sometimes it works within NWDS. And if it doesn't work, I receice the error message:
Server <myHost> did not accept login request as apiadmin on port 50018 - CmdXmlFactory could not find Top Element within String: "null".
But when I use the RemoteGUI from SDM, I'm able to connect to the SDM <b>always</b>. Just the deployment within the NWDS fails sometimes.
