Data Storage On SD card

Hi,

Does anyone know when SAP would support data storage on an SD card for MAM? Is there any plans to support this type of cards in the future?

Hi Narasimhan,

MI currently does not support SD card. In the future there is a possibility but no time lines have been set. MI currently supports CF cards. Just to let you know that there will be a performance degradation when you use CF cards (SD cards also).

I have read the same, about the compatibility with CF cards only and not on SD cards on the Help documentation, and also on the performance degradation when data is stored away from the primary main memory.

However, i was just curious to know, whether anyone knows if any time lines have been set on providing and supporting the SD card functionality.

Hi Narasimhan,

All I can say is that there are plans to support SD cards in the future. SP 20 will be shipped in April 07, lets see if it can be done by then!
