"PL_TIMEOUT" error

Former Member

Hi,

All scenarios(that involve a BPM), seem to be failing with a "PL_TIMEOUT" error in XI.

When checked in the monitor,no process instances are being created.

I assumed that the Business Process Engine was down.

When I recheck the status of the BPE in runtime workbench, the LED is Green.

Is there any other place where we can check to see if the BPE is working fine?

If not the BPE, what else might have gone wrong?

Thanks,

Smitha.

Hi Vijaya,

The thread and the note doesn't seem to help.

Is there a way to check if the BPE is down, other than in the run time workbench?

Smitha.

Smitha,

Am not sure if this will help as i have not tried it out.

Use transaction --> SWELS to turn on the BPE trace.

Then rerun your scenario and then use transaction swu9to check for the BPE trace and see if it has any pointers.

Hi,

This issue has been resolved.

It seemed to be a problem with tablespaces.

Hi Smitha,

We are getting the same problem. How did you correct this one? Are the table spaces you mentioned are the XI system data base table spaces?

Please help.

Thanks

Hi Agasthuri,

It doesn't seem to be an interface level problem, as it is affecting all interfaces that have bpm's...

Any idea, how we can debug this?

Thanks,

Harsh

Hi,

1)Transaction Code SWWL, where we can find any instance of the BPM had gone in error we can see an entry there. This happens if we have used global correlation and it has remained active for earlier instance. We can delete it and test again

2)Check the Work Item, Whether it has changed or modified.
