Hi.
I know there are several Tutorials concerning IDoc-Scenarios but i have a simple probelm in testing an empty IDoc.
I use an empty DELVRY03 and enter the configured Receiver and Sender for editing the control record fields, try to use the standard outbound processing and i get a message like:
the IDoc is saved but can't or should not be send.
No Idea what the problem might be! I really read every Blog/Tutorial to this and configured it all well - or is it not possible to test it with an empty IDoc?!
Best regards - Jens
Hi Jens,
This seems to be an issue on the R/3 configuration side(and not XI). Your R/3 system doesn't seem to have this IDoc type configured as an outbound. So even though you can create an IDoc, you can't send it.

Harsh

Hi Harsh,
thx for your input.
I registered the IDoc type as outbound parameter in Tx WE20.
The Message-Type is DESADV. I also made sure to add the receiver-port and the IDoc-Type DELVRY03. The IDoc is also being send imediatly.
My additional question: is it possible to send an empty IDoc or do i have to fill it first?!
Thx in advance, Jens
Hi,
Make sure that the Control reocrd you will in We19 is valid especially the Sender Partner Name and receiver partnername.
There should be an entry in the outbound side of the partner profile in we20. Make sure you are using the valid partner name , fill all mandatory fields and segments with some dummy values and try to trigger the Idoc.

Hi Shabarish,
well SM58 says nothing and i guess it even should say nothing when the IDoc is succesfully sent.
Please correct me in the following things if needed:
for the control data
1. recepient:
a. Port: should be the one i created in the sender-System, Tx WE21
b. RFC Dest: seems to work fine
c. partnerNo: should be the one i configured in BD54
2. sender:
a. Port: where do i get it from (System/Status?) - it should be the logicalSystemName from the Sender?!
b. partner No.: where do i get it?
Best regards, jens
Hi Jen,
In WE19 the control record population pls do cross check the following
1. recepient:
a. Port: should be the one i created in the sender-System, Tx WE21
b. RFC Dest: seems to work fine
c. partnerNo: should be the one i configured in BD54
d. Partner Type: as required.
2. sender:
a. Port: its the one which you have declared in IDX1 of your XI box.
b. partner No.: its the logical system name you have declared for the R/3 box.
Cheers
JK

Hi JK,
I crosschecked the parts of 2. sender
Do i have to put the other values than the given by using the suggestion-button. Because there have to be the values i declared in the XI.
thx in advance....
Jens

HI,
Did you configure Partner Profiles etc in R/3 ?
Also give mandatory segments/fields before sending the idoc.
Hope you have given all control record informations while sending like Sender Port,Reciever Port etc

Moorthy
