I've got a Windows NW2004s installation, and the J2EE processes don't come up automatically when we reboot. Can someone point me in the right direction?

have you checked the status within the services folder?
check SAP<SID>_00 and SAP<SID>_01
Set them to automatic!
You mean the windows services, right? They are set to automatic, but the application server doesn't start when I reboot.

Check your "START" profile if there is a line like:
Autostart = 0
If yes, change it to "1".
