Problems with password for SDM Server

Hello,

we are trying to install the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio, but can't seem to find the right password for SDM Server.

We got stuck at the step where we have to enter our login information for the SDM Server. (software deployment manager GUI)

In the documentation it says that the password here is 'sdm', but it doesn't work.

Could anyone please help?

Hello Anne,

you can change the SDM password using the sdm.sh utility(Linu). For Windows use sdm.bat

Please follow the following procedure for changing the SDM password.

1) login using <sid>adm on the server and then go to SDM home (/usr/sap/<SID>/DVE*/SDM/program). Then fire the command ->

./sdm.sh changepassword sdmhome=/usr/sap/<SID>/DVE*/SDM/program newpassword=<new_password>
