How to export a table (repository) definition to Excel

We are looking at definition for the standard Customers table in MDM (I guess this is what is called a Repository) and loaded it to be viewable in the MDM Console. We'd like to discuss with other people which of the 118 fields are relevant to them, which they need to see on a map (e.g. color all customers on map by field "Legal Status"). The easiest for us would be to export it to Excel so that we can make annotations there. Is there an easy way to get that list of fields into Excel?

Hi Oliver,

the list you're looking for is availble in Excel on the <a href="http://service.sap.com/installmdm">Service Market Place</a>

Check MDM's Installation & Implementation Documentation Center for the file "MDM 5.5 SP03 - SAP ERP-MDM Field Mapping and Check Tables ". The same info exists for the SP04 repositories as well.

Kind regards

Michael

Hi Oliver,

To export the schema of a repository into an excel file u first select the reposiroty from the console and then right click on it and from the context menu select <b>Export repository schema </b>.

Then a window will open which will ask for the name of file and where to save schema.

Mention the name of file with extension <b>".xls"</b> and save as type <b>"All types(*)"</b> and click save.

This will save the repository schema into excel file.

Thanks,
