Hi John,

To configure the printer to duplex mode.

1. Go to transaction SPAD.

2. Enter/select your printer name in the box adjacent to the 'output devices' button

3. Click on the 'output devices' button

4. Click on the 'output attributes' tab.

5. In the 'Output attributes for list drivers and smartforms' pane, select the duplex value for the 'print mode'.

This will set the printer to the duplex printing mode. Any printout from this printer will be double sided.

Hope this helps.

Hi Pulkit

I had configured exactly what you said, is there anything that I have to do? How do I check whether it is configured or not? is there any script that I can print and see that it is properly configured?

I'd appreciate your response

Thank You

Hi,

You can test duplex printing by printing the standard SAPscript document SAPSCRIPT-PRINTMODETEST (language D or E) from client 000.

Hi John,

Kindly refer the following link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/94/45c53bcc422d42e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

Also please check the SAP note 96102

To test duplex printing, use the standard text SAPSCRIPT-PRINTMODETEST. To do this, choose Utilities --> For device types --> Test data(SAPscript)

In SAPscript and Smartforms that is easily done (if the printer supports it) with a checkbox attribute of the formpage.

"Information about whether output is on one page, duplex, or tumble, is specified in the SAPscript/Smart Forms document. For more information, see the section Print Mode in Pages in SAPscript Forms as well as SAP Note 96102 in the SAP Service Marketplace."
