Migration for Webrfc service from R/3 4.6B to ECC 6.0

Hi,

I have some problem as follows:

We are doing migration from R/3 4.6B to ECC 6.0. For R/3 4.6B having external ITS, I have seen the link in the page which calls as

<b>https://www.abc.com/scripts/wgate/webrfc/!?_FUNCTION=WWW_GET_REPORT&_REPORT=ZWWWURLSETES&_TEMPLATE=ZWEBREPORTING_REPORT_STARTS&PARC_EMPNUM=0000000000012345</b>

Now, I have to call the same link for ECC 6.0 due to migration, but I don't have knowledge to "webrfc" internet service. Can someone help me how I can call the above link. What are the settings to be made for ECC 6.0?

if you are staying with exteranl ITS iwith ECC 6.0 it should work the same way however, if you are migrating to Integrated ITS of ECC6, then you dont have webrfc, you need to convert those webrfcs to either BSP are WEBGUI based ones.

Thanks for ur reply. I have given the points too. Also I have created the bsp as per your suggestion. But how I will call this bsp url from the internet and is it possible to change it to short name for this url.

go to the properties tab of the bsp page and at the bottom you can see the url, use that url instead of the ITS webrfc url

Hi,

As we have Integrated ITS, so I have created the bsp page. So don't having webrfc url.

I am asking in my last post that how I can change bsp url http://<hostname>:<port>/sap(bdjihjg11gy2==)/bc/sap/zbsp1/login.htm to some short name like www.zbsp.com

Also, pls tell me how I can put it (www.zbsp.com ) onto the internet.

Hi,

according to SAP note 979467, soon (SP10) there will be available an ICF service webrfc to call the old webrfc ABAP function modules without the external ITS in Netweaver 2004s. Those of you having webrfc services should have a look at it.

this can be done with something called external alias for BSPs
